Today, Rina finally finished her homework! Aaah. I enjoyed reading about her favorite things and what she did on her trip last week. Since I came a bit early, I had Rina do a lesson in the workbook I brought with me. She learned about sequence and understood the idea of time order and how to look for clues.
After she finished a lesson, we read a Curious George story before Pam came to tutor Zoe. She handed me a worksheet I could work on with Rina before we got together to play a game. I think the game was called "Who Wants to be a Millionaire"? Zoe and Rina were in one team while I was the opposing team. Pam was the make-believe host. Because the game was two-against-one, Zoe and Rina killed me! The score was 14 to 5.5, haha. Some of the questions consisted of random American history and culture so they learned a lot of things while we played.
They both had so much fun, and they were so competitive! But I'm glad they were actively participating. Rina lowered her affective filters and was able to get the correct answers on a lot of the questions. She surprised me today.
