Sarah had stopped by the Leon County Library and had checked
out 2 children's books to read with me.
She wanted a chance to read out loud and learn new words in the process.
I willingly obliged; so hunkered down on
the floor with her baby in arms and her son shyly looking on, we read " I
am a Dog".
It was a great exercise
in verb tenses, pronunciation- stretched
and scratched, and new words we discussed after looking at the pictures-
lollipop. After we completed the entire
book once, we went back through and looked for new words. I wrote them down and am now emailing her a
small dictionary I made for her. Next
week we will review and read the other book she checked out.
