I tutored Andy and Gilbert today. Gilbert is 9 years old and is very resistant to study on his vacation. Today I brought worksheets for both of them to do individually. I made sure to bring a lot of work for Gilbert to make sure he was busy because last time he got too excited at the end of the session. When Gilbert saw all of his work he guessed on every question in a matter of minutes. This was very disappointing to me because he was just going to ruin the session for Andy as well. I made Gilbert draw for most of the session because I did not want him interfering with Andy's study time. While Gilbert colored Andy and I learned about cars and different modes of transportation. Andy loved this activity and was the most focused I have ever seen him. The session went well overall and I was happy that I made the decision to focus on Andy and not try and coddle both of them like I did last session.
