At Starbucks, Boram bought me a drink as an apology for coming late to our first session. We sat down and casually discussed the differences in our cultures. It was interesting to know that Boram likes the American culture more than the Korean culture. She liked the freedom we have which Korea lacked. I liked how she wasn't a typical Korean woman. It's always hard for me to make friends with girls, but we had a lot of things in common and her conversational skills were great. Again, she had a moment or two when she needed to think how to translate a word or phrase into English.
We both felt it was a little regrettable we didn't get to talk often in or out of class. We promised to keep each other in contact when I leave. I hope we get to see each other again.
