Marco TS#5

I feel David has a new sense of respect for me and for the work we do. He seems more eager now to learn and make an effort but I am sensing he is having trouble. Perhaps I have overestimated his abilities, or perhaps being lazy is catching up with him. Either way he needs to work harder. It takes him far too long to get through a page of the book, almost the full hour. I can't tell if he's just that lazy (though it doesn't look like it) or if he genuinely is having that hard a time. The other thing is retention. He must be thinking about something else while he reads because he can't seem to retain any information of the story. He just picks certain words that drew his attention and builds off that without being true to the story in any deep capacity, only barely does he get the general idea of what's going on. I'm trying to find new ways to motivate him but he is indeed challenging.
