Kamesh TS #15
On August 11th, I met both Matthew and David for tutoring. As they are competitive twins, I came prepared with exercises that would pit their skills against one another. I started by giving both Matthew and David a vocabulary list of 15 words that I had noticed Matthew struggle with in previous tutoring sessions. They were both to write a short passage or story about anything they wanted to with the words that I gave them. I noticed that their writing skills had improved since my first meeting with Matthew, as they both were able to write fluently and communicatively. After they finished that exercise, I looked over the essays and corrected the grammar for both of the twins. We then played a listening game that involved something that both twins found interesting: Pokemon. I would describe a specific Pokemon physically and the twins had a short time to draw the Pokemon in question. I realized that they would often stop listening and start drawing before I had finished talking, hindering their listening skills. As a result I would take the paper they were drawing on away until I was finished describing a Pokemon.
