Kamesh CP #1

My first meeting with my first conversation partner did not go as I had planned. At first, I had planned to meet Ahmed, my assigned conversation partner, at the library to tutor him. After meeting Ahmed at Strozier library and talking to him for a short time, I realized that he was looking for a conversation partner instead of a tutor this whole time. We then started talking about his home country of Saudi Arabia and the things that he noticed were different between America and Saudi Arabia. He stated that people here were much nicer at first, but the fast paced lifestyle does not allow people to become friends even though everyone in America was nicer. I then talked to him about how I lived my life in America, including my membership in a fraternity and what all of that entailed.
