Kamesh TS #10

Matthew and I met once again on the fifth of August. I felt like I didn't do enough vocabulary exercises over our tutoring sessions so I decided to focus on that aspect today. I started with a word search about knights and castles in order to peak Matthew's interest about the vocabulary. Whenever he would find a word, I would go over the definition with him in order to make sure that he retained the knowledge of the vocabulary. We made a list of the vocabulary words that he didn't understand before moving on to the next activity. I would then recite the definitions of the words to him and he would have to write down a sentence using that vocabulary words. This helped his retention of the words and also his listening skills as he would have to listen carefully to the definition. I let him finish the word search at the end of the session as a reward for him trying hard that day.
