Chris CP#5

Last Thursday I met with Sean, Joel, and my conversation partner Kwon. We met at Pho7 on Pensacola for some delicious Vietnamese food. Kwon had been in Atlanta the previous day, so he literally came straight to the restaurant after being on the road all afternoon.

Kwon brought a friend of his to dinner as well. She said she was involved with CIES, so we talked for a while about that. After the usual introductions, we talked a bit about traveling and where we wanted to go. Since Kwon is Korean, we talked about Korea for a while. It turns out that Kwon is an ice hockey player and knew a famous Korean figure skater.

A few of us ordered soup and a few got rice dishes. My pho was delicious as always. The broth is really flavorful and a perfect compliment to the delicate rice noodles. Over dinner we talked about learning different languages and which languages we knew. Kwon said he was learning Spanish and that his friend was helping him. He said he was going to Miami soon, so that seemed pretty appropriate. Kwon is going to stay in Tallahassee and continue his studies at CIES. He will be moving up to Level 2 this fall!
