Kamesh CP #3
My third conversation partner meeting was with Marco, a friend for my TEFL class. As Marco was originally from Panama, he made a fitting conversation partner for me. I felt that my conversations with Marco were much easier than the conversations I had with Ahmed because I was already friends with Marco previously. I waited for Marco to come over to my house to play video games and converse, but he was thirty minutes late. After he arrived, he explained to me a common Panamanian stereotype that they are always late. It was fitting since he was late for our first conversation partner meeting. He explained how this gets confused with another Panamanian stereotype of them being lazy, as some people say they are so lazy that that is why they are always late. Marco informed me that the lazy stereotype was false, as Panamanians love to be social and interact with others.
