On August 7th, I had my first tutoring session with Matthew's twin brother David. Another TEFL student had to tutor Matthew, so I was okay with teaching David. I started with a few reading comprehension exercises from the workbook that they both have. We read stories about chinese immigrants and their initial trials when coming to America. While David was not intrigued by the story, he answered the comprehension questions perfectly. After we went over the comprehension exercises, we played a writing practice game. With this activity, I would write one line of a story and David would have to continue the story by writing three lines of his own. We continued doing this back and forth until we finished the story. Whenever it was my turn to write, I would read his responses and correct them with him.
