Sean TS #4

I wanted something fun so I remembered an activity most girls in my Elementary enjoyed and that was Mad-Libs. Mad-Libs is an activity where there is a story or passage with blanks for adjectives, nouns, verbs, etc. It allows participants to make their own story whether they want it to sound serious, silly, dangerous, or abstract. I thought it a great activity for the girls to practice their reading comprehension and writing abilities. It worked like a charm. I even did my own Mad-Libs on Star Wars to get the girls laughing and to understand why this activity is fun as they are an author and they can make others laugh with it. Hye-In excelled as she is very advanced for her age while I helped the Hye-Jeong who was slightly struggling with vocabulary usage and the differentiation of nouns versus verbs and such. When our time was up, they actually wanted to take the rest of my Mad-Libs worksheets to do at home which I let them do. This was the first time I’ve witnessed kids asking for more homework!
