Joel TS#3

For the previous lesson, we had worked on listening and comprehension, so for this lesson he said that he just wanted to work on speaking. We started off just talking about our weekends and then I asked him what he wanted to talk about, so that hopefully he would be more comfortable with the topic and could be more comfortable speaking. He said he wanted to talk about dreams and plans for life. He said that he has been playing soccer for many years so he wanted to major in sports management. He also asked me what my dream was and he seemed to not have too much trouble understanding what I was saying. I wrote down all of the vocabulary words that he didn’t know and explained them as we went along. At the end we reviewed the vocabulary to make sure he still understood everything. He seemed to enjoy this type of lesson a lot more and said that he wanted to do this more often and that he feels like he learns better this way.
