This is out of order, but no matter!
Last Saturday, Dylan and I went to Proof Brewing Co. with Karima, Durval, Pedro, and Yuma. The four walked from their apartments in Colony Club, which was nearby. This was really interesting for me because the atmosphere was so bad for a language barrier like ours. Yuma is in a low level speaking class so he had the most trouble communicating with us.
I also had to explain the process of opening a bar tab to Karima because she had never had to do this before. After some time at the bar, we were invited back to a friend's apartment because the older group of Brazilians were getting together before they went back to Brazil. When we met them, Dylan asked if they were ready to go back and they all exclaimed with wide eyes that they were very ready.
It was funny to see the contrast between someone like Durval, who was ready to travel cross country to see America, and the older Brazilians who were so excited to go back.
